Pet Food Bank
PHS/SPCA regularly receives donated pet food from local residents. We choose not to feed donated food to our shelter animals in order to maintain a consistent diet and avoid stomach issues.
Instead, we contact local human services agencies that operate food pantry programs, since they regularly encounter clients who have pets. In the past, we’ve worked with Samaritan House, CALL Primrose and Ecumenical Hunger Program. We welcome the community’s pet food donations and look forward to growing this vital program. Local residents can bring donated food (cans or unopened bags) to our Coyote Point Shelter in San Mateo or Center for Compassion in Burlingame.
