Giving Options

General Donations –- General donations can be made by phone, mail, or online. To make a credit card donation over the phone, contact Lisa Van Buskirk at 650/340-7022, ext. 327 or Lvanbuskirk@phs-spca.org. You can also mail your check or credit card number (including expiration date & phone number) to:

Simply download and print a donation form. Donations can also be made online by clicking the red “Donate” icon above, but a processing fee is taken from your gift. This does not apply to phone or mail donations. For your information, our Tax ID # is 94-1243665.

Become a Member -- A gift of any amount, renewable yearly, enrolls you as a member of PHS/SPCA. See “General Donations” above for ways to donate. We are not part of any other regional or national humane society or SPCA. All contributions to PHS/SPCA are tax-deductible and help domestic and wild animals on the Peninsula. Because we respect the privacy of our members, we do not sell or exchange the names of PHS/SPCA donors.

Memorial Gift -- a donation made in memory of a deceased pet or loved one. Memorial gifts are a thoughtful way to honor the memory of loved ones. When a memorial gift is received, we send the donor a thank-you card. The family of the deceased person or pet receives a notification card, and if the donation is $100 or more (you can donate any amount), the deceased's name is displayed on our Memorial Wall. Honorary Gift -- a donation made to commemorate a special person or an occasion, such as a birthday, wedding, anniversary or graduation. An honor gift can be just the right "pat on the back" for someone you care about or wish to recognize. When an honor gift is received, we send the donor a thank you letter and the person being honored receives a notification card or certificate. Download and print a donation form now. Other Gifts -- cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and gifts-in-kind (donated items such as pet food and blankets). All gifts are tax deductible, and we will NOT sell or exchange the names of our donors.

Faithful Friends -- this program allows donors to set up automatic, monthly bank transfers or credit card charges. Members can begin at any time, with the option to renew annually. Matching Gifts - many local companies match their employee's charitable contributions. Please check with your employer to see if they will match your gift, and general instructions for their program.

Sponsor a Kennel – “owning” a piece of the shelter for a year is a great gift to give, or a way to honor a special person or occasion. You can sponsor a dog run, a cat condo or a kitty apartment and choose the personalized wording that goes on your kennel’s plaque (renewable annually). eScrip – register your credit and debit cards at www.escrip.com and a percentage of the purchases you make at participating merchants will be donated to PHS/SPCA. eScrip respects your privacy and will not sell or rent your personal information. Vehicle Donations -- donate your vehicle (running or not, in most cases) with Certificate of Title. Current California registration, emission testing, and inspection are not required, although we cannot accept out of state vehicles. Get a write-off per IRS regulations; free pick-ups. Contact Dana Troy at 650/340-7022, ext. 389 or dtroy@phs-spca.org or download form that you can use to begin the donation process.
